The IPP Technologies’ workplace’s core values are, innovation, customer satisfaction, and teamwork which are quite connected with the cultures of the company. Personally, these are values that I do appreciate because I am one who appreciates growth and finding solutions that are customer centered. Marketing is one of the positions which I can comfortably fit in as it requires one to work with clients and develop strategies that resonate around their needs. On the other hand, I know that change is one of the areas where I may not always be at the very best, especially with regard to shifting conditions of the different project components quickly which may place tremendous pressure on me with regards to the values of the company.
Schwartz (2012) argues most importantly about what I believe firmly to be the case that values associate with work are crucial in shaping culture in the workplace but also people’s attitudes and behaviors within the organization. I have come to appreciate this and I now consider changing some of my approaches so I do not fall short in delivering on this promise as I evolve especially in the case of rapid changes when working on projects at IPP Technologies. This difference includes considering the changes that may occur in the project and making plans for them, which requires some level of flexibility. Further, I have been trying to guarantee my team’s marketing efforts are consistent with the objectives of the companies but also the needs of the customers as it is our philosophy.
Reflection: On this note, I have improved my understanding of the need to mesh the values of the workplace in the daily activities that I perform. Transformation in this area can be clearly observed in my new approach to challenges as I have an easier time thinking out of the box and guarantee that my output always upholds the intrinsic values of IPP Technologies. In the future, I will also work on my flexible skills without compromising the values of the organization, which is beneficial for my career as well as the organization’s success.
